Ayrshires to 1850gns at Exeter!

The South West Ayrshire Sale was held at Exeter Livestock Centre which attracted great interest with buyers from as far as Carmarthen and new buyers from Somerset. Mark Evans sold a consignment of Organic Ayrshires from his East Church herd in Honiton which attracted strong interest topping at 1850gns for a third calver “East Church Mad Marion VG85” by East Church Stans Rosinni, she sold to Mike Tizzard of Dorset who purchased 22 head. Another third calver by the same sire achieved 1800gns to Manor Farm Dairy of Dorset with a second calver by Tudor Rococco selling at 1700gns to Mike Tizzard. Heifers from East Church sold at 1580gns for a daughter of East Church Perfection and 1480gns for a daughter of Bigginvale Destination.
Other Ayrshires sold to 1280gns for a second calver “Lyner Sensation Red 16 GP84” by Palmyra Reality Brazil from Courtenay Walters of Launceston. Other fresh Heifers to 1250gns for Anthony & Wendy Vigus of South Molton, 1200gns for David Sayer of Bridgwater and 1150gns for Messrs J Cornish & Sons. In Calf Heifers topped at 1300gns for “East Church Desrit Nellie” with others to 1280gns & 1250gns from Mark Evans.
Served Heifers sold very well with Andrew & Caroline Bolderston making the very long journey from Norfolk with a consignment which topped at 1250gns for “Harry’s Dreamer Primrose” by Palmyra Tri-Star Burdette which sold with 6 gens of VG & EX dams behind her due in November to Merv Walters of Somerset. Another Primrose by Rosehill Manderville sold at 900gns to Colin Evans of Carmarthen.
Bulling Heifers sold very well to 800gns for a group of four smart heifers from Courtenay Walters with others to 780gns twice and 700gns twice for Mark Evans. Three super heifer calves from Messrs J Cornish & Son sold to 600gns for “Butterbesley Precision Brnadysnap” by Tri-Star Precision with others to 280gns & 200gns. 2 Stock bulls from Lyner sold well at £1200 & £1000.
